Past

Azaria was born into a wealthy enough family. His father worked for an extremely successful company, and his mother was a beloved singer at a piano bar. They made enough money to support their rather large family of nine children by the time Azaria was born, but he remembers none of this. He was only one when his parents lost everything. The company that his father worked for was found to deal in illegal activities and was shut down.

His mother decide to sell her voice in order to help his oldest brother stop hearing the thoughts of those around him. The only really good thing that happened during this time was the birth Azaria's youngest brother. His parents had no choice but to move their family into the poorest section of the city they lived in--an area called the slums. Their lives had drastically changed. They had went from being extremely comfort to having hardly any money at all.

It wasn't all bad. In spite being dirt poor, they were happy. They had parents that loved them, and who tried to make their situation seem not so dire. Their mother was especially good at this. When Azaria was thirteen something happened that proved that their currant situation was far from the worse thing that could befall the family. They had invited a stranger into their house one cold winter's eve. They might have been poor, but they weren't the type to turn someone away who was in need. They had thought that the stranger was in need. He appeared to be a vagabond in need of a warm place to stay for the night. They couldn't have been more wrong.

This vagabond was actually an assassin sent to kill them by a rich socialite, who had taken interest in Azaria's oldest brother. She sent the assassin after Azaria's family in order to force his brother to be with her. She had thought that just the mere threat would be enough to sway him to do what she had wanted. She had been wrong. Azaria's brother instead turned to a demon to help him, but by the time the demon came to save Azaria and his family it was already too late. The assassin had killed most of his family--including Azaria himself, and his youngest brother had activated his own powers, turning the assassin's spell back onto him.

It was believed that everyone but the youngest brother died the night. No, it was worse than that it was believed that their soul was erased, consumed by the assassin then by the youngest Lavoie child when he turned the spell around on the assassin. This was furthest from the truth. Azaria managed to survive. He has no idea how he did it. Perhaps, the chaos of his brother activating his powers in such a situation sent his soul and body spiraling  through space and time. The demon might have even arrived just in time to save Azaria. Or Azaria's own powers activated and he saved himself.

The only thing Azaria knows for certain is whatever happened he had been regressed to a baby. It was here that he was found by his new family. They were a clan of witches, who decided to break off from the witch society that his youngest brother would eventually join. They broke away due to religious differences. Azaria's newest family's most revered deities was the six warlords of the void while the society they had broke away from revered the goddess Aine or even their own people who had ascended into godhood most. They respected the void deities, but did not feel they should be held in as high of an esteem as Azaria's new family believed.

His new family thought this was foolish. These six deities had came before Aine. They were the first six children of the darkness that all life spring from and will return to once again. They are the destructive forces that are responsible for the end of the world. Witches---including the ones that Azaria's family broke away from---believed the end of the world is something that has happened multiple times and will happen countless more times. They see the end of the world as merely the end of a cycle. A cycle consist of two eras: The era of timelessness and the era of time.

In a cycle, the era of timelessness comes first. There is no other realms, realities, dimensions and even time, itself, during this period. There is only the void. The witches' void is not like other void. It is not devoid of life in the same manner that other cultures' void are. Life inside the void is very different than life inside other places. The most important thing to know about the void is the six warlords rule supreme. The era of time comes second. Every realm, reality, dimensions and even the void, itself, exist during this period. It is during this era that time comes into being.

His new family believed that the end of a cycle is inevitable, whether it will come tomorrow or in a billion years, it will happen. They also believe that when it happens that every last one of them will become subjects of the six void warlords. It is better to bow to them by choice than through force. They each endure rigorous training to serve their deities in whatever manner they wish to use them as. They have no idea how their deities will decide to use them, but they trained themselves to be prepared for any of the possibilities. Azaria was no expect. His own training started from an early age.

In fact it started the very moment he was found. They sent him into the void in order to make him apart of it. So, when the end of the world finally arrives the six warlords will know that he is one of their tools to use to bring it about. The training was hard, but it wasn't as difficult to bare as the memories. His body might have been regressed to an infant, but his mind was not. He had memories of his life with his birth family. It became increasingly painful for him to bare as he got older. His past and his present wanted to collide into each other in the most painful way possible. It was driving him insane, and probably would have if the priests of his new family didn't cast a spell in order to help the two peacefully merge. Through, there are some that will claim that their help arrived too late.

Present

Azaria excelled at his training and proven himself to be quite gifted. Many of those within his new family believes that when the six warlords of the void take over that one of them will give him the honor of having a high position within their army. They realize there is no guarantees of this, but they believe that they will not waste someone of Azaria's talent on something that someone of a lesser ability can achieve.

It has recently come to his attention that the family he thought the assassin has killed is alive. He has left his new family in order to find them--much to their dismay. Reuniting with his family isn't the only reason why he left. He had discovered whom his mother really was. She was the goddess Aine --creator of the witches, or at least one of the humans she had merged with. They had found something amusing about making one of her birth children a creature of the void. It wasn't this that had upset him. It was the mere fact that they had kept this from him, and tried to deny it when he confronted them about it. He left in anger, vowing never to return.
